One day after many years of mediation that I began to remember a previous life. It was in Africa around the year 650. I was a black man living in a village on the edge of a desert and savannah.

I was a young warrior and successful and I was inseparable from a young woman in our town from the time were very small. It was agreed that they would soon marry and become a family in our tribe. This happened and everything was fine for a while.

One day we went to the jungle in search of food and digging roots. I went with my new wife, because I liked his company and was very much in love. But while it is was a lion came to us suddenly and unexpectedly. I backed away slowly with my partner and then told him to turn and slowly walk back to the village to seek help while I was watching the lion did not follow.

My partner was very scared, but for some reason she refused. This was a great shock to me then. No one denied the words of a warrior from a tribe in particular a woman, and especially in the bush. Once again told him to go to town and get help for me kill the lion was hunting too chose our people to be secure for the people. Again she refused. It was then that I realized she thought never see again if she went to the village. She chose to stay and fight with the lion I instead of fleeing to safety.

It was then that the lion saw we were distracted by and I had no choice but to fight the lion alone and with the help of my partner. The lion fought well and I worried a lot to me keep between the lion and my partner. The lion was shot with my lance lightly, but was furious by the blow and charged again and jumped over me. It took me the spear and again plunged into the most while I was too rough and scratched to death by the beast. My partner hit him and the lion distracted for a moment and my last breath, I took the knife in the neck lions that eventually killed him.

My companion was unharmed, but still shaking strongly with extreme fear in the meeting. I told him to go to the village to bring warriors to take back the town. But it was not necessary because some others in the village had heard talk about the fighting lion and the alarm in the village.

I spent many months of healing, but I was too maimed to walk upright for many years. And we had to rely on the charity of other warriors to feed. The elders met and learned that my companion had refused leave to seek help. And my partner was rejected by this forever by the people because they had caused great damage. Nobody in town was never allowed to talk to her anymore. I knew that my companion had good intentions and called for its fine, but it was not. My partner did not realize I had no intention of fighting the lion alone. When she was gone for sure I would have climbed a tree to safety. But she did not know and disobeyed me she was always rejected by the people.

I and some of the warriors were the only ones to break once the decree of the elders. But finally my companion began to sing instead of speaking to communicate. And so sang songs every time I wanted to talk to someone, but still people do not look in the eye and acknowledge their presence as a person of the tribe.

That could do little of value to support myself, but my partner was a good provider of roots, herbs, and crafts and we are very happy together but extremely poor our standards tribes. I helped craft and the old witch potions and spells to prepare for the tribe. I could only crawl on all fours to move by many years until one day with the help of a crutch that was able to walk upright. This was thought to be a very good omen for the tribe, but this only lasted a few months. For Our witch fell ill one day and died suddenly.

I was asked to take his place since he knew most of the spells and potions used to make the magic of the tribe. And so from then on we were not hungry or ill for anything that the tribe could offer.

When he dies a sorcerer of a tribe is a time of great danger. Other witch doctors and tribes around casting spells to harm the witch doctor and many new spells come in new tribal witch doctor at once. I spent a long time in meditation and I knew very little about this from the old witch before she died. So every time I patient felt a strange spell sent to me I would close my eyes and let the pain go through me and not hurt me.

If I had fallen ill be a sign of weakness spirit and our tribe would be attacked by one or more of the other tribes and killed or expelled from our lands. But instead of the sorcerers others fell ill when the power of their spells of damage was not accepted by me and returned to this energy that had created and which, in turn, fell ill of his own making.

We have lived in peace for many years and our tribe prosper. Could a father without children, and therefore had no family to raise. We have grown to be the longest life of our tribe and I at least was a great honor for the tribe. But my companion was avoided as this could never be done even for me.

I grew very old and are cautious with life long before my partner because my body was in my youth was devastated by the attack of the lion. I was in great pain for many days. My companion saw me lose my will to live and began to scold me heal myself with my magic. But it could be done. I grew worse and weaker, but still I do not attack neighboring witch with her magic. I still fear for my longevity and the damage I had caused them long ago time.

A sorcerer was wiser than the others and managed to hurt me in the most unexpected. He cast a spell to harm my partner. And so it became very anxious and abusive to me for me to recover. But I could not and things got worse between us for the first time. One day I could take longer and charged against my partner and took her away and told him I did not want to talk to her again.

This was a great damage to my partner because she only had me now to talk to the company of the whole tribe. She still sang everyone else to communicate, but could not see or acknowledge their presence – except some of young children who do not know any better. And so I made a great damage to my heart immediately colleagues and I knew I wanted to talk to her again and say it was not true.

Later that day at dinner of our tribe who were attacked by many men from other tribes. Word must be out of the witch was not really well and so were attacked as the richest tribe in the area of our possessions.

I still had not spoken or seen my partner and our argument and a lot of damage in the morning. enemy warriors seized me and shot their arrows at me. An arrow went through the stomach and out the other here my kidneys. As I Lay Dying had only one burning thought in my mind – to see my friend one last time before they die and say I'm sorry for my words. As and weakened gradually I became angry with my partner for not coming to me. I thought that if she still loved me then the strength of our love had brought me one last time for me to look at my eyes on her before she died. But it was not, then I died .– Faced JE
